Russian Harp Virtouso Alexander Boldachev performs in Damascus

On December 17, 2019 a solo concert of the Russian harp virtuoso Alexander Boldachev, organized with the support of the Embassy, took place at the Damascus Opera Theatre.

Musical pieces of the Russian composers, as well as famous rock melodies were performed. In addition, Mr. Boldachev played the Syrian national anthem and presented to the audience his own composition “The Harp of the Holy Spirit”, dedicated to Saint Ephrem the Syrian, a theologian and hymnographer who lived in Syria in the IV century A.D.

The performance of Mr.Boldachev was greeted by prolonged applause.
