Russian Minister of Defence Mr. Sergei Shoigu visits Damascus

On March 23, 2020 Russian Defence Minister Mr. Sergei Shoigu visited Damascus. During his meeting with the President of the Syrian Arab Republic Bashar al-Assad issues of ensuring a stable cessation of hostilities in the Idlib de-escalation zone, situation in other parts of Syria and various aspects of military and technical cooperation were discussed. Russian humanitarian assistance to the Syrian people as well as Russian participation in the restoration of the Syrian economic potential were touched upon.
